First cleared C9 contract

NOS Clearing ASA (NOS) is pleased to announce that NOS has cleared its first Capesize-C9 contract today. The trade was brokered by SSY Futures Ltd. (SSY).

NOS has lately been approached by several clearing members who wanted C9 contracts to be available for clearing. Therefore the new route has been introduced, settled against the arithmetic average of the daily spot price for every publication day in the contract month.

C9 is a Baltic assessed route from Continent/Mediterranian to Far East. This route will be traded in USD per day. The product structure includes 5 monthly contracts, 5 quarterly contracts and 2 calendar contracts ahead.

All Clearing Members with a USD margin account have access to the new C9 contract.
