First cleared Panamax P1A contract

NOS is pleased to announce that the first P1A contract has been cleared today. The trade cleared was brokered by GFI.

NOS has been following the developments in the market regarding P1A contracts and has been approached by several brokers and counterparts who wanted P1A contracts to be available for clearing. Therefore the new route has been introduced for cleared futures and options, with settlement the last 7 days.

P1A is a Baltic assessed Panamax route, trans Atlantic round voyage for cargo basis grain, ore, coal or similar. The product structure includes 6 monthly contracts and 3 quarterly contracts.
