NOS cleares TD16 tanker freight futures traded on Imarex

Imarex and NOS Clearing are pleased to announce that from Thursday 11th December 2008 members will be able to trade cleared TD16 tanker freight futures on the Imarex trading platform. TD16 is based on a 30,000mt cargo of Fuel Oil shipped from Odessa in the Black Sea to Augusta in the Mediterranean. The launch is a double market first; it is the first time electronic trading has been possible for TD16 contracts and it is also the first time clearing has been made available for TD16 contracts.
